Builders prepping to build 86 homes on the vacant lot at the end of Peachwood. Good bye to good quail habitat and ground cover for other birds and critters.
We recently celebrated my brother’s 80th birthday. While we were at Llenroc, we gathered around the memorial site for my mom, dad and uncle Bob.
The occasion of my brother’s 80th birthday brought lots of family to Llenroc for the celebration. Joining Bob was Ellie Solomon, Pete Sydow, David Hataway, Chris and Pete Roberts, Evie and Barry Zeidman, Janette Mortimer, Marg and Wally Wing, Francie Goodrich, and, of course Colleen and me. We made the decision to donate our faithful 2003 PT Cruiser to charity recently. It was starting to need some extensive maintenance and we really don’t need two cars. It was kind of sad to watch it be towed away. We’re grateful that The Wounded Warrior Project will benefit from this donation.
Today we took down Christmas decorations – The tree, garlands, lights and everything else that makes Christmas come alive. It was a sad day. Looking forward to November 23 (day after Thanksgiving) of this year to put them back up. Only 321 days to go!

Rented the U-Haul and moved boxes, mattresses, frame and headboards. Drove 140 miles on LA freeways without one traffic slowdown. Couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Should have only driven 70 miles on LA freeways, but someone forgot the keys to the apartment on the first trip.

Leaving for Austin and Kristin’s wedding. Long Beach Airport is a small, quaint little airport where you have to walk out on the tarmac to board the plane. And then I took some pictures of the South Bay area of Los Angeles (you can see Santa Monica pier) and Lake Tahoe.
It’s my birthday month! John came down and we went to The Habit for a burger. Fertilized the Tomato, Blackerries and Lemon.
Beautiful spring Saturday. However, this is the third extra large cockroach we have discovered. All of them seem to have been poisoned as they were moving very slow. We think neighbors…
Used to be called Decoration Day. Last year we only had two, but this year we have six flags on display.
